The Division of Rheumatology at USC hosts several events over the course of the year to show the fellows our appreciation for their hard work and participation in the Program. Fellow wellness is an important part of our program and these events are one of our ways of promote trainee well-being. Some of our event highlights are listed below:
Graduation: At the end of each academic year, a graduation reception is held at a fancy restaurant in honor of the graduating fellows and their families. The entire division faculty, fellows, and staff attend the reception as well.
ACR Annual Meeting: Fellows have the opportunity to attend this comprehensive annual meeting designed to improve the knowledge, competence, and performance of rheumatology professionals.
ACR State-of-the-Art Clinical Symposium: This event is attended by the first-year fellow that didn't have the opportunity to attend the ACR Annual Meeting.
SCRS Meeting: Promotes the education of Southern California Rheumatologists concerning rheumatology and its treatment. The SCRS welcomes fellows in training to participate in their meetings.
USC Rheumatology Annual Community Seminar: Annual seminar hosted by rheumatology faculty to bring awareness to the local community about rheumatologic diseases.
USC Clinical Rheumatology Update Symposium: Annual symposium hosted by our very own Dr. Daniel Arkfeld. The symposium focuses on RA, PSA, Gout, Fibromyalgia, and Rare Rheumatologic Disorders.
Wellness Lunch: Division-sponsored event focused on the well-being of fellows.
